| Software Tools
Use Xilinx ISE version 11.5. Version 12.1 is expected in May 2010. We will transition to that WebPACK when it's released. Go to the Xilinx ISE WebPACK Design Software Page Establish an account with login name and password. You will have to download the "Web Install Client" before downloading the ISE. They use this client because the installation files for the ISE are at the time of this writing 5.63 GB. After your Web Install Client is installed, Download Xilinx ISE 11.1 and install it. Then, update. Deselect the one checkboxed item that the free license does not allow. You should be updated to version 11.5 and able to work on the Spartan 6 FPGA. |

Twitter Tidbits
Our first bit of team software was three scripts that run the twitter updates on the home page.
The problem with using the update widget from twitter was that an ID for the ul was hard coded and the
server-side script expected a particular hardcoded callback. We duplicated the scripts on the delmarnorth server,
put in our own hardcoded IDs for the people who wanted to post their tweets, and now it's
working as intended. Here are links to the scripts we made.
